This is the RSD expanded promo edition of Prince’s 1995 album. He was at war with his label at the time, and was referred to as Symbol as an FU to them. Interspersed with weird moments, referred to as NPG Operator, this is a classic 90’s Prince album.
The classic Prince funk of P. Control that you have to be dead not to groove to is present in We March. There are superb pop, crossover tunes like The Most Beautiful Girl In The World, which is so slick and polished it feels somewhat out of place with the madness that ensues everywhere else. 319 is my favourite track, it’s just groovy as hell and is just PRINCE. I’m sure everyone somewhere loves at least one Prince album as the guy was a genius. Production is awesome, as usual, and it sounds huge.
