I became intrigued by this band after the release of their single Autobahn. It was a fresh new sound, unlike nothing that was around at the time.
This album was originally released in ’78 and this is the 2009 reissue. I think my fascination was with how amazing and clear the records sounded, even when you crank them all the way up. By today’s standards of electronic music this is quite basic stuff, but these guys paved the way for all that came after. Especially The Model, which nearly every new wave band coming out of the UK in the early 80’s copied. My favourite track is The Robots, it brings back waves of nostalgia when I hear it .
